I grew up watching the original Star Trek series. While my hero was Captain Kirk, my namesake was "Scotty." My first Star Trek prop was a replica of Scotty's red shirt... I think he was the only wearer of a red shirt who didn't get killed on an away mission...Rest in Peace, Jimmy Doohan.
